Services Available to ALL Congregations and Schools
LCC is a professional, faith-based counseling referral source for pastors and congregation members. We offer the following services at fee-for-service competitive rates:
- Individual and group psychotherapy at nearest LCC site
- Support groups dealing with specific issues such as bereavement, caregiver support, addiction and other critical issues facing individuals and families
- Counseling support for pastors and other professional church staff serving the congregation
- Mental health seminars, workshops and retreats based on the congregation’s individual needs
- Individual weekly ongoing counseling-in-residence program for schools billed at an hourly rate for the number of hours requested each week
- On-site grief counselors when unexpected death or tragedy occurs
- Conflict intervention for congregations and their schools
- Telephone consultation is available with a pastoral counselor to assist pastors and staff in dealing with counseling issues which arise within his/her pastoral care role.
Benefits Available to Association (MAP) Congregations and Schools
- Pastor refers up to six individuals, couples or families for counseling per year. Referees receive four counseling sessions each for $35 per session
- Free telephone consultation with a pastoral counselor to assist pastors in dealing with counseling issues which arise within his/her pastoral care role
- Frequent LCC monthly updates and frequent newsletters containing health and wellness articles and LCC news
- Opportunity for each church to send the pastor and two voting delegates to LCC’s annual Corporators’ Meeting in March to elect board members and receive an annual LCC organizational update
- Reduced rates for on-site emergency grief counseling or conflict intervention
- Opportunities for occasional free mental health seminars
Membership Assistance Program (MAP)
Association congregations must be enrolled in the Membership Assistance Program (MAP) which is a cooperative ministry between LCC and the congregation. Congregational members with limited resources who are in need of counseling can receive help. Cost for the MAP program is $600 per year.
